Our Work, Our Rights!
Digital counselling, information, training and support for 24-hour carers
Legally independent but in practice uninformed, vulnerable, and isolated: this is reality for approximately 60,000 migrant 24-hour carers working in Austria. But what if 24-hour carers were actually independent and had a say in their working situation?
This project is dedicated to digital opportunities for giving 24-hour carers access to objective information. The goal is to highlight to them their rights and the legal options open to them, including but not limited to in the context of exploitation, violence, or (sexual) abuse. The digital channels established by this project are also intended for use in offering training resources concerning carers’ status as informal caretakers in order to improve the professional standing of 24-hour carers.
